What we can help with

Corrections come first. If a race page states something factually wrong, an office, a date, a district's counties, or a link that goes somewhere it should not, that is a bug and we want to know. Include the page URL and, where the error is factual, a source we can check against. Corrections are made promptly once verified, and the page's updated date moves when its content materially changes.

Simulation complaints are also welcome, and they are treated differently from factual errors. A simulation that produces a result you disagree with is not necessarily wrong: these are AI-generated scenarios and reasonable people will read them differently. But a simulation that contradicts its own stated reasoning, ignores the rules published on the methodology page, or produces text that is garbled or nonsensical is a defect in the product, and past reports of exactly that kind have led directly to fixes.

Privacy requests, including questions about what the site processes and any request for access or deletion, go to the same address and are handled under the privacy policy. Because Electorate HQ keeps no accounts and no visitor database, there is usually nothing held about any individual to retrieve, but we will investigate any specific concern rather than answering from the general case.

Press questions, permission to reproduce material, and reports of anything on the site being used to misrepresent an election are all appropriate here. Electorate HQ is an independent project rather than a newsroom with a desk rota, so replies are not instant, but error reports are read and acted on.
